Bizen Osafune Japanese Sword Museum　備前長船刀剣博物館

For those with any interest in traditional Japanese sword making, visit the Bizen Osafune Factory. On certain days each month, craftsmen gather to show the traditional sword crafting. In one day, it is possible to view all the steps crucial for sword making, which in total usually takes one to two years to fully complete. From the initial sword forging, to polishing, engraving, scabbard making, lacquering and hilt binding, it is possible to view traditional techniques rarely seen anymore.
